St. Mary’s Franciscan Shelter for Homeless Families

Will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007
At this event, we hope to not only raise awareness of who we are and what we do but also to raise the funding we need to ensure the future of the Shelter. You’ll have the opportunity to bid on some wonderful auction items, enjoy live music and a great meal, meet Master of Ceremonies and news personality Pat Ciarrocchi, and even sponsor items that will go directly to families starting their new lives.

What we do…
• We use the Personal Management Program which teaches self esteem and self reliance through money management, housing and home care.
•We offer free childcare to working parents.
•We offer Parent Support Classes.
•We provided case management, employment assistance and budget advice to our residents.
What you can do…
• Volunteer your time and talent to the Shelter.
• Make a financial gift to support the Shelter’s mission.
• Annually support ongoing needs for residents.
• Consider making an extra mortgage payment to the shelter for those who wish to have that expense one day.
• Support the Shelter’s partnering organizations.
You can help make this event extraordinary in several ways:
• Plan on attending the celebration, and spread the word to family and friends who may want to support the Shelter and its work.
• Donate an item for the auction, or ask a retailer with whom you do business to donate.
• The next time you write a check for your mortgage, consider sending a donation to St. Mary’s—to help families who hope to have a mortgage someday.
• Keep the Shelter—and the families it serves—in your prayers.
